Mercedes-Benz has just revealed the updated all-electric EQS sedan for the 2027 model year.
At first glance, the design changes might be a bit subtle, especially on the outside, but underneath the metal, it features a new 800-volt electric architecture.

One of the biggest upgrades Mercedes-Benz made to the is again, the 800-volt architecture up from the 400 volt of the outgoing model. With that, the 2027 EQS now features up to 430kW DC fast charging capabilities. A larger battery pack is also fitted along with a two-speed transmission, and upgraded electric motors.

As a result of the changes, Mercedes-Benz claims the 2027 EQS will have a range of up to 926 kilometers on a single charge based on the WLPT cycle. Depending on the spec, 2027 EQS can have up to 576 horsepower and 800 Nm torque.

Moving on to the design changes, the front end receives the most of the updates, most of which are inspired by the new S-Class sedan.

The grille features new design elements with an animated star pattern along with an illuminated Mercedes-Benz central star. The headlights have also been updated with star-themed daytime running lights.

Inside, the huge MBUX Hyperscreen still comes standard, but what’s new is the optional yoke wheel, which gives the electric luxury sedan steer by wire tech.

Hopefully, we’ll be able to see the updated Mercedes-Benz EQS on Philippine roads very soon.
