In an interview published on OKC Thunder Wire in October, Vietnamese-American basketball star Jaylin Williams shared his feelings about seeing his name on a street sign in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is the very street he used to walk to school every day.
"It's unbelievable. My former teachers and my whole family were there," the Oklahoma City Thunder player shared. He hopes his loved ones will see the plaque as a source of shared pride for the Williams family.
Jaylin Williams is a top star in America's billion-dollar basketball scene. He also has a particularly close connection with Vietnamese fans, having Vietnamese blood from his mother – who was born in Saigon before moving to the United States.
