Recently, sales representatives officially announced they are accepting deposits for the Mazda CX-90 SUV. However, the dealership has not yet confirmed a specific delivery date.
The Mazda CX-90 is a strategic product line prioritized by the Japanese automaker for demanding markets such as the US and Europe. While remaining true to its distinctive KODO design philosophy, the car is elevated to a higher level of sophistication thanks to refined chrome accents, creating an elegant and imposing appearance.
In terms of exterior design, the Mazda CX-90 adopts the new generation Kodo design language, with a long, slender body and solid overall proportions, creating a substantial feel befitting a large SUV.
Details such as 21-inch wheels, black-painted rearview mirrors, dark exterior trim, LED headlights and taillights, and a hands-free power tailgate contribute to a premium and modern feel. A panoramic sunroof is also a key highlight that is expected to appear on the production version.
Stepping into the cabin, users will encounter a minimalist design, reminiscent of the existing CX-8. The vehicle sold in the Vietnamese market will likely be equipped with a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen, a head-up display (HUD) on the windshield, and a 360-degree camera system capable of expanding the field of view, effectively assisting when navigating tight spaces or situations with poor visibility.
The vehicle also features: independent automatic climate control for all three rows of seats, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system. The interior layout prioritizes passenger comfort, making it suitable for family use or long-distance travel.
In terms of safety features, the CX-90 is equipped with the new generation i-Activsense technology package, which includes features such as: a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) capable of monitoring the driver's concentration level and providing warnings when necessary. The 360-degree camera has also been upgraded, allowing for an expanded field of view and better support in complex situations.
The Mazda CX-90 SUV boasts 7 airbags, along with familiar active safety features such as lane departure warning, blind spot warning, emergency brake assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, all fully equipped.
Powering the Mazda CX-90 in Vietnam will be two engine options. The first is a 3.3L Turbo I6 e-Skyactiv M-Hybrid engine, producing 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and i-Activ AWD all-wheel drive. The second is a 2.5L e-Skyactiv PHEV version, delivering 323 horsepower, 500 Nm of torque, and an all-electric driving range of approximately 42 km.
Equipped with advanced operating technologies and expected to be imported from Japan or Europe, the Mazda CX-90 is predicted to have a high price in its segment. Many experts and sales consultants believe the price is unlikely to fall below 2 billion VND, and may even exceed 2.5 billion VND for the top-of-the-line version.
