Blue Bottle Coffee to open near Bangkok’s top parks

17/08/2026 10:55:00

Bangkok is waking up earlier than ever. Well before the city traffic builds and office towers fill, Lumpini, Benjasiri and Benjakitti parks are already busy, with runners, walkers and fitness groups - many of whom finish their morning routine with one thing still to tick off - coffee.

That shift could make the arrival of Blue Bottle Coffee particularly timely.

The California-born specialty coffee brand is set to open its first two Bangkok cafes this month, with locations at Dusit Central Park and EmQuartier - both within easy reach of some of the capital’s most popular green spaces.

Founded in Oakland in 2002, Blue Bottle has expanded across the US and Asia, with cafes in markets in Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Its Bangkok expansion is being carried out with Valiram, which also partnered with the brand for its Singapore launch in 2024.

The first Bangkok cafe at Dusit Central Park will introduce an open-format space aimed at everyday coffee drinking. Its location places it close to Lumpini Park, one of Bangkok’s best-known destinations for morning exercise.

The second outlet at EmQuartier will take a more craft-focused approach, with hand-brewed pour-overs and seasonal drinks. It is also close to Benjasiri and Benjakitti parks, where the expanding network of walking and running paths has helped make the area a popular destination for Bangkok’s fitness crowd.

For a city better known for nightlife than early mornings, Bangkok’s growing fitness culture is reshaping the daily routine, with parks doubling as social spaces and coffee shops becoming natural post-workout stops.

Blue Bottle is entering a new era of Bangkok - one that appears to be taking up a new rhythm, with a sip of fresh morning brew.
